My travels of late have taken me by the updated Mayfair Golf course. Mayfair is located at 3536 Country Club Drive in Sanford, Florida. The course has 18 holes, a driving range, clubhouse with restaurant and pro shop. It has been a while since I’ve played the course, but it looks to be very green and has a much improved appearance. I have been itching to hit some balls at the range.
The Range is located at the south side of the property and faces west… so it is nice if you want to warm up in the cooler part of the day and not have the sun in your face. A bag of range balls costs $5.00 plus tax. The range is suitable only for shorter irons, being that it is only 185 yards long. Tee time reservations can be made up to a couple weeks in advance. The Pro Shop opens at 7AM and closes at 7:30 PM.
The course is fairly open with quite a few holes with water hazards. Accuracy is still important, and most holes require a quality approach shot to modest sized greens. Beautiful oak trees set up boundaries on some of the holes. Walking is permitted and carts are also available. The course is not overly long.
I will discuss the course and restaurant more in the near future… I hope to have tasted the food, hit some balls at the range and tested the course. You can find out everything about Mayfair by visiting their website by clicking here. I hope you have a chance to try Mayfair out soon for yourself.
