Lake Mary, FL Real Estate Sales

I’ve been out hitting the streets of Lake Mary, FL with a couple of families that are moving to Florida from other areas of the Country.  It’s always an exciting experience to teach Seminole County home buyers the ins and outs of Central Florida.  There are so many things that we take granted; great schools, shopping and restaurants are all just five minutes from your doorstep and some of the top vacation destinations in the U.S are within just an hour of your home.

The inventory of homes available to purchase in Lake Mary have stayed consistent over the past few weeks, our supply of homes is currently 537… down 3 from last week.  There were 17 new listings this week and there are 94 homes under contract.  The homes that are in a pending status continue to climb each week while the closed sales do not.  Over half of the homes under contract are short sales and foreclosures and the traditional 30 day escrow period is typically 60 to 90 days when you buy a foreclosure or short sale in Seminole County, FL.  We continue to be hopeful that these sales will come to fruition and we will see more homes selling in the near future.
