Visit the Farmer’s Market in Central Park

Stock up on fresh produce for holiday dinners or find the perfect last minute gift at the Lake Mary Farmer’s Market! Every Saturday, local vendors gather in Central Park to provide everything from produce and baked goods to gourmet pet treats and handmade jewelry and crafts from local artisans. You can even let your pooch pick out his own treats – the event is dog friendly, as long as dogs are leashed. The market is open from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Take a Walk on the Beach – of a Nearby Lake.

Lake Mary is often referred to as the City of Lakes. Lake Jesup and Lake Monroe are the two closest larger lakes, but there are a number of neighboring smaller lakes throughout Lake Mary that are perfect for morning jogs, evening walks, picnic sites and photo opportunities.

Watch a Performance of the Nutcracker

Catch a dazzling performance of a winter classic at the Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center. Ballet Fedotov and the Russian Academy of Ballet present the story of Clara, a young girl who dreams of a Nutcracker Prince and his clash with the Mouse King. This is a holiday event you don’t want to miss! The show is at 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 20.

Have you ever seen a giraffe in person? The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens is a mere 15 minute drive from Lake Mary. Take the kids or a friend to explore a variety of animals and plant life, or have a treetop adventure on the zipline or ropes course. The Zoo is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the exception of Christmas Day.
